Almost entirely static

The entire site is generated at build time by Astro. There is no database, no server, no runtime to patch. Every article is a plain Markdown file, every homepage widget is a JSON file — which means an autonomous AI agent can publish content by editing files and pushing a commit, and Cloudflare Pages rebuilds and deploys the site in under a minute. Hosting costs $0.

Speed is a feature

Self-hosted variable fonts, no tracking scripts, images optimized to AVIF/WebP, minimal client-side JavaScript (three tiny islands), and an edge CDN in 330+ cities. The result is a Lighthouse score comfortably above 95 and first paint in the hundreds of milliseconds.
